Shrimp Grilled Cheese Sandwich
A decadent twist on the classic grilled cheese, loaded with juicy shrimp and gooey cheese!
Ingredients
4 slices of sourdough or artisan bread
200g shrimp (peeled and deveined)
1 cup shredded mozzarella or gouda cheese
2 tablespoons butter
1 clove garlic (minced)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon fresh parsley (chopped)
Instructions
Prepare the Shrimp:
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Season the shrimp with paprika, salt, and pepper. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until pink and cooked through. Set aside.
Butter the Bread:
Spread butter evenly on one side of each bread slice.
Assemble the Sandwich:
Place a layer of shredded cheese on the unbuttered side of one bread slice, add the cooked shrimp, sprinkle with parsley, and top with more cheese. Cover with another slice of bread, buttered side facing out.
Grill to Perfection:
Heat a skillet over medium heat. Place the sandwich in the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, pressing gently with a spatula, until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
Serve Hot:
Slice the sandwich in half, garnish with extra parsley, and serve immediately.
