Crispy Ham and Cheese Croquettes
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup diced ham
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup breadcrumbs
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Oil for frying
Instructions:
In a bowl, mix mozzarella cheese and diced ham. Take small portions and roll them into bite-sized balls. Place them on a tray and freeze for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, set up a breading station with three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Roll each cheese ball in flour, then dip in eggs, and coat with breadcrumbs. Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C) and fry croquettes in batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Drain on paper towels and serve warm. Enjoy!
