Creamy Spaghetti with Meatballs
Ingredients:
For the Meatballs:
1 lb (450g) ground beef or pork
½ cup breadcrumbs
1 egg
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp Italian seasoning
½ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
For the Spaghetti:
12 oz (340g) spaghetti
2 tbsp olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup canned diced tomatoes
½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Salt and black pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Meatballs: In a bowl, mix ground meat, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Shape into small meatballs.
2. Cook the Meatballs: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the meatballs until browned and fully cooked, about 6-8 minutes. Remove and set aside.
3. Cook the Spaghetti: Boil spaghetti in salted water according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
4. Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic until fragrant. Add diced tomatoes, heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 5-7 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly. Season with salt and pepper.
5. Combine: Add the cooked spaghetti and meatballs to the sauce. Toss to coat evenly.
6. Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan cheese. Serve hot.
