Creamy Rice Pudding

Description

Creamy Rice Pudding
Ingredients:

1 cup uncooked white rice

4 cups whole milk

1/2 cup sugar

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Whipped cream for topping (optional)

Instructions:

1. In a medium saucepan, combine rice, milk, sugar, and salt. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the mixture begins to simmer.

2. Reduce the heat to low and simmer gently for 25-30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the rice is tender and the mixture thickens.

3. Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in vanilla extract. Let the pudding cool slightly.

4. Serve warm or chilled in bowls. Sprinkle with ground cinnamon and add a dollop of whipped cream if desired.
