Creamy Bacon Mac & Cheese
Ingredients:
12 oz rotini pasta (or any pasta of choice)
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 ½ cups heavy cream
1 cup whole milk
4 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon smoked paprika
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ cup panko breadcrumbs (optional, for topping)
Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions:
Cook pasta according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.Add flour and whisk for 1 minute to form a roux.Pour in heavy cream and milk, whisking continuously until thickened.Add cheddar, mozzarella, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper, stirring until cheese is fully melted and smooth.Combine cooked pasta with cheese sauce and mix well.Top with crumbled bacon and optional toasted panko breadcrumbs.Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
