
Description
Just as crispy and juicy like it’s deep fried version, this air fryer fried chicken is made healthier, quickly & mess-free in the air fryer.

Ingredients
Chicken marinade
600gms, approx. 7 boneless chicken thighs
1tablespoonwhisked curds
2tablespoonsgarlic paste
30finely chopped curry leaves
2tablespoonsfinely chopped coriander leaves
1 ½tablespoonsschezwan sauce
1teaspoonkashmiri chilli powder
½teaspoonblack pepper powder
1 ½teaspoonssalt
Juice of 1 lemon, approx. 3 teaspoons
1tablespooncooking oil
1egg, whisked
For outer coating
1cupcornflakes, roughly crushed
For greasing
2tablespoonsmelted butter
Instructions
Marinating chicken:
- Add all ingredients for chicken marination except chicken to a bowl & whisk to combine well. Add chicken & mix well. Set aside for 1 ½ – 2 hours for the chicken to get marinated well.
600 gms, 1 tablespoon whisked curds, 2 tablespoons garlic paste, 30 finely chopped curry leaves, 2 tablespoons finely chopped coriander leaves, 1 ½ tablespoons schezwan sauce, 1 teaspoon kashmiri chilli powder, ½ teaspoon black pepper powder, 1 ½ teaspoons salt, Juice of 1 lemon, 1 tablespoon cooking oil, 1 egg
Prepping cornflakes:
- Add cornflakes to a zip lock bag, seal and place it on a flat surface. Roll the rolling pin over the cornflakes to crush them to bits. Take care not to crush it too finely. Set aside on a plate.

Making fried chicken
- Pre – heat air fryer to 190 C & brush the basket lightly with butter.
2 tablespoons melted butter
- Roll each piece of marinated chicken on the crushed cornflakes and make sure that the pieces are coated well.
- Brush the air fryer basket with butter and place the coated chicken pieces with some gap between each other. Drizzle or spray melted butter on each piece.
- Air fry chicken at 190 C for 5 minutes, flip them once, drizzle or spray butter and air fry at 190 C for 4 minutes. Air fry at 200 C for 3-4 minutes flipping once, till the chicken is fried to a golden brown.
