Cheesy Garlic Bread Rolls
Ingredients:
For the dough:
2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
2 ¼ tsp instant yeast (1 packet)
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp sugar
¾ cup warm milk
2 tbsp butter, melted
1 egg
For the garlic butter:
3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
For the filling:
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Dough:
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, yeast, salt, and sugar.
Add warm milk, melted butter, and the egg. Knead until a soft dough forms (about 8-10 minutes).
Cover the dough and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
2. Prepare the Garlic Butter:
In a small bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, and dried oregano. Set aside.
3. Shape the Rolls:
Punch down the dough and divide it into 8-10 equal pieces.
Flatten each piece, place some shredded mozzarella in the center, and seal it by pinching the edges together to form a ball.
4. Assemble and Bake:
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Place the rolls seam-side down on a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet.
Brush the tops with garlic butter.
Bake for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown.
5. Serve:
Brush the baked rolls with more garlic butter and sprinkle with fresh parsley. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce!
