“Classic Spaghetti Bolognese
”
Ingredients
400g spaghetti
1 tbsp olive oil
1 onion, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 carrot, finely diced
1 celery stalk, finely diced
400g ground beef
1 can (400g) crushed tomatoes
2 tbsp tomato paste
1/2 cup beef broth
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried basil
Salt & black pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped
Grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
Cook the Spaghetti:
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Make the Bolognese Sauce:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion, garlic, carrot, and celery. Sauté for 5 minutes until softened.
Add ground beef and cook until browned. Stir in tomato paste, crushed tomatoes, beef broth, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
Simmer the sauce on low heat for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Combine:
Toss the cooked spaghetti with the Bolognese sauce until well-coated.
Serve:
Plate the spaghetti and top with grated Parmesan and fresh parsley.
