Baked Rigatoni with Meat Sauce and Cheese
Ingredients
1 lb (450g) rigatoni pasta
1 lb (450g) ground beef or Italian sausage
1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp Italian seasoning
2 tbsp olive oil
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions
1. Cook the Pasta:
Boil rigatoni in salted water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. Prepare the Meat Sauce:
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
Add chopped onion and garlic; sauté until softened.
Add the ground beef or sausage, season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper, and cook until browned.
Stir in the marinara sauce and let simmer for 10 minutes.
3. Assemble the Dish:
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large baking dish, layer half the cooked rigatoni.
Top with half the meat sauce and a layer of mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
Repeat the layers with the remaining pasta, sauce, and cheeses.
4. Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
5. Garnish and Serve:
Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve hot.
