Cheesy Baked Ziti

Ingredients

1 pound ziti pasta

1 pound ground beef (or Italian sausage)

2 cups marinara sauce

1 cup ricotta cheese

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon dried oregano

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

1. Cook the Pasta:

Boil the ziti in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.

2. Prepare the Meat Sauce:

In a large skillet, brown the ground beef. Drain excess fat.

Stir in marinara sauce, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5-10 minutes.

3. Layer the Ziti:

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a baking dish, layer half of the cooked ziti, spread ricotta cheese on top, and add a layer of the meat sauce.

Sprinkle half of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.

Repeat with the remaining ziti, meat sauce, and cheeses.

4. Bake:

Cover the dish with foil and bake for 20 minutes.

Remove the foil and bake for another 10 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

5. Garnish and Serve:

Sprinkle fresh parsley over the baked ziti.

Serve hot and enjoy this cheesy, comforting dish!
