Ingredients
2medium onions, slicedyellow or Viladia onions
1tablespoonoil
1/2teaspoonsalt
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 370 degrees F.
- In a large bowl, toss the sliced onions with the olive oil and salt until they’re well coated.
- Air fry them for 5 minutes or until the desired level of tenderness is reached, stirring them once halfway through the cooking time.
Notes
Vidalia onions and all kinds of sweet onions, white onions, and red onions all work great.
Larger onions are much easier to cut into slices.
Spread the onion slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket to help them cook evenly.
To get crispier onions, cook for a few extra minutes.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
