
Description
Chocolate air fryer lava cakes with a molten Nutella center are so easy to make! A simple yet decadent dessert. Directions for frozen too!

Ingredients
1/2cupsemi-sweet chocolate chips
4tablespoonsbutter
2eggs
1teaspoonvanilla extract
1/4teaspoonsalt
3tablespoonsall-purpose flour
1/2cuppowdered sugar
For the Nutella Filling
2tablespoonsNutella
1tablespoonbuttersoftened
1tablespoonpowdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 370 degrees.
- In a medium microwave-safe bowl, add the chocolate chips and butter and heat on 30-second increments until completely melted and smooth, stirring during each interval.
- Add the eggs, vanilla, salt, flour, and powdered sugar to the bowl and whisk to combine.
- In a separate bowl, mix the Nutella, softened butter, and powdered sugar.
- Prepare the ramekins by spraying them with oil and fill each one-half full with the chocolate chip mixture. Add half of the Nutella filling in the center of each ramekin, then top off with the remaining chocolate chip mixture making sure the Nutella is covered.
- Carefully place the lava cakes into the air fryer and cook for 8 to 11 minutes.
- Carefully remove the lava cakes from the air fryer and allow them to cool for 5 minutes. Take a butterknife and run around the outside edges of the cake and flip out onto a serving plate.
Top with ice cream, chocolate syrup and/or other toppings and enjoy!
Notes
How to Make Frozen Lava Cakes in the Air Fryer:
1. Preheat your air fryer to 350 degrees.
2. Transfer the frozen lava cake into an oven-safe ramekin and cook for 10-12 minutes.
3. Flip the lava cake onto a plate, let cool for a few minutes, add toppings, then enjoy!
