Description

This lower sugar chunky chocolate granola is super simple to make, naturally sweetened and so chocolatey. It’s a new easy staple you are going to want to add to your list!

¼cupcoconut oilmelted

¼cuphoney

1teaspoonvanilla extract

2tablespooncocoa powder

½cupnuts and seedsof choice

¼teaspoonsalt

¼cupchocolate chunksdivided (plus more for sprinkling)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 300°F.
  • In a large bowl, combine the oats, nuts, coconut oil, honey, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, salt, and half of the chocolate chunks.
  • Evenly spread and press the granola onto a prepared baking sheet in one large piece (it should easily stick together). You can press it down until it’s about ¼ inch thick.
  • Bake granola for 30-35 minutes or until the edges start to brown.
  • Remove from oven and allow to cool for at least one hour to allow the granola to harden.
  • After the granola has cooled, break it into pieces (I like bigger chunks) toss with the remaining chocolate chunks (plus more if desired) and store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
