Meal Prep Recipe Healthy Turkey Feta Meatballs (Greek)

Description

These healthy Greek-inspired turkey feta meatballs are juicy, packed with flavour and a great lean protein to add to any salad or bowl!

Ingredients

1tablespoonolive oil

2 lbsground turkey meatground chicken or veal also work

½teaspoonsalt

1clovegarlicminced

2tablespoonfresh parsleychopped

½teaspoondried oregano

dashred pepper flakes

⅛tsp ground black pepper

¼tsp ground cumin

½cupbreadcrumbs

¼cupcrumbled feta cheese

⅓cupyellow onionminced

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350F.
  • In a large mixing bowl, add all the ingredients and mix with your hands until fully combined.
  • Measure out heaped tablespoons and roll using your hands until a ball begins to form (recipe will make approximately 27 meatballs).

Place rolled meatballs onto a parchment paper lined baking sheet.

  • Bake for approximately 20 minutes (or until a thermometer inserted into the middle of the meatballs reaches 165 F) , turning halfway.
  • Once meatballs are done, carefully remove them from the oven enjoy! (see above for serving suggestions)

Notes

*Feel free to halve the recipe if you wish to make a smaller quantity (the recipe will make about 12-13 if halved). I personally like to make a large batch to have leftovers for the week or freeze them for an easy dinner!
